All'inizio si legge bene, poi peggiora mano a mano.Perduti su Venere: si prosegue sullo stesso registro, se possibile peggiorando, visto che Borroughs ci ricorda ogni due o tre pagine che Carson è perdutamente innamorato della bella Duare, che spasima ed anela il suo amore più di ogni altra cosa.
