Winning The Indecisive Duke is part of The Fairbanks Series - Love & Hearts by Jessie Bennett. It can easily be read as a stand alone book.Elizabeth Huntington is not a happy young woman. She is weeks away from her 18th birthday, then she is expected to travel for a year before returning home to marry her best friend. She doesn't want to travel, and she certainly doesn't want to marry her best friend Jonah. They were contracted by their families at birth to marry, and despite growing up toge [...]

Beautifully written storyline with well developed characters that just pulled me right into their story from the very beginning and kept me totally enthralled until the very end! I look forward to reading more from this author.

I'm in the minority it seems. This was just ok for me. The characters were ok. The plot was ok.

Beautiful and a bit sad story about friendship, love, competition and marriage arrangements. Wonderful characters and an intriguing story, set in an Jane Austen-landscape

Elizabeth is a young woman who was engaged to be married with Jonah, the son of her father’s best friend. Elizabeth and Jonah have become friends over the years and although they love each other dearly, they don’t feel like being husband and wife.Daniel is a young Duke who in order to inherit a property he has to get married before his twenty-seventh birthday.I liked the book a lot. It is well-written and although sometimes it is a little repetitive about the concert marriage I can see the p [...]

Elizabeth Huntington and Jonah Boothe were betrothed as infants. They grew up together and became close friends, but they don't love each other as an engaged couple should. They try and convince their parents to let them break the contract without success. Jonah loves another and Elizabeth yearns for true love. i loved this sweet regency romance. I connected with the characters and enjoyed their witty dialogue. Elizabeth is a caring person who wants to honor her father, but she won't go against [...]

I voluntarily agreed to read an advanced copy of this book. When two sisters fall for the same man it unleashes a deep sibling rivalry. Although Elizabeth has been betrothed to Jonah since they were infants, they do not wish to marry and both fall for other people. Daniel needs a wife, but cannot decide between Elizabeth and her elder, more bitter sister, Alexandra. An interesting story that shows that your nearest is not always your dearest.

Jonah and Elizabeth are betrothed to be married. They have been friends all their lives, but they do not feel that they are a good match for marriage. Jonah is in love with another and Elizabeth finds herself attracted to the Daniel the Duke of Althone whose just arrived in Fairbanks. Daniel has to come to town since he needs to be married in 3 months to inherit his land. He is trying to decide if he should court Elizabeth or her sister Alexandra. I enjoyed reading the book and was able to feel [...]

This was a decent read. At times, the indecisiveness of the duke got on my nerves, especially since he was deciding between two sisters. A bit tacky and divisive! The fathers reluctance to end the betrothal also was annoying. Enough already! Everyone knew they didn't want to get married. Let your children be happy.

InterestingThis book was interesting. The writing style was definitely different than moose books I've read recently, but that didn't make it bad. Just different. I enjoyed getting to know the characters and the relationship Elizabeth and Jonah shared, and how the Duke changes everyone's lives. Good read. Would recommend!

Almost perfectThe story line was very good. The book seem to rush before my eyes. The conclusion my mind came to was they would find the sisters in a cave. Would love to have follow up to this story line.

GREATVery good read. Glad to know that contracts could be broken and happiness found by all parties involved. Insanity is a very scary thing I'm glad it had a HAPPY ending.

Sadly I was pretty disappointed with this book I felt that the premise was great but the execution was lacking. The story is about two sisters, Elizabeth and Alexandra. Elizabeth has been betrothed to the neighbors son Jonah since infancy and the two are best friends and therefore do not wish to marry (they feel as if it would be like marrying your sibling) but their fathers won't dissolve the agreement. One day a stranger, Daniel the duke of Athlone, comes to the neighborhood and Alexandra who [...]

Two sisters but one DukeThis is a standalone story about another family in the Fairbank series. It is about two sisters, the youngest has been engaged to their neighbor since her birth which makes the story older one jealous. They meet a Duke newly come to Fairbank and both wish to marry him. He in turn feels both are eligible to marry.
