I was born in a suburb of St Louis, Missouri named Bridgeton During my time in Missouri, I explored the Ozarks, swam in the Mississippi River, played kickball and endless games of hide and seek with the neighborhood kids Spending summers in Kentucky with my Grandmother, Ruth, are the fondest childhood memories for me.At the age of thirteen, my family moved to Wisconsin to learn to farm Yes, learn to farm That was interesting Taking city kids and throwing them on a farm with twenty eight cows purchased from the Humane Society because they had been abused, was interesting I learned to milk cows, the ins and outs of a breeding schedule, feeding schedule and the never ending haying in the summer and trying to stay warm in the winter Our first winter in Wisconsin, we had thirty six inches of snow in one storm and were snowed in our house for three days Needless to say, I wasn t loving Wisconsin.I am now married with four children and three grandchildren I have learned to love Wisconsin, though I still hate snow Wisconsin and the United States are beautiful and my husband and I travel around by motorcycle seeing new sites and meeting new people It never ceases to amaze me how many people are interested in where we are going and what we have seen along the way At every gas station, restaurant and hotel, we have people come up to us and ask us about what we are doing and offering advice on which roads in the area are better than others and great rides others have been on if we are interested.I come from a family of veterans My grandfather, father, brother and two of my sons and one daughter in law are all veterans Needless to say, I am proud Proud to be an American and proud of the service my amazing family has given.

Tammy Davis had an emotional, tragic, life lesson happen to her that made her guard her heart and hide away from the outside world. Until Molly dragged her to help at a rebuild for Veteran that changed her world !!Danny Schaefer was the Veteran that was given the rebuild. When a life altering accident happened in Afghanistan and Danny lost part of his leg he never thought he would every have the life he dreamed of But when he first laid eyes on Tammy at the rebuild he knew in his heart that she [...]

***** A ROMANCE THAT PACKS A WALLOP!“DANNY’S WAR” was so appealing on several levels. First of all, P.J. Fiala’s characters were very real––even the bad along with the good. Secondly, in classic Fiala-style, the love/sex scenes between the two main protagonists, Danny and Tammy, were straightforward and authentic; none of that frilly/poetic stuff that sometimes infiltrates a good romance. Finally, and to me most importantly, her depiction of the disabled veteran, Danny, dealing with [...]

The writing was unpolished and the characters were overly emotional. I struggled to finish this because the heart of the story was good, but there needed to be more editing before this was published. (Read as part of Hometown Heroes Box Set)

Prose isn't working for me and I can't connect to it at all.

I commend authors who tackle real & significant contemporary issues in their work & do their homework along the way. Even if it's romance fiction it still serves to humanize & destigmatize issues & is a subtle way to educate readers about important topics. While I was initially drawn to this book by the storyline I was pretty disappointed overall - I managed to finish it only out of a sense of obligation to Danny. If you can get past the disturbingly tacky cover image, here's what [...]

This book grabbed me from page 1. It was heartbreaking going through Danny's journey of what happened to him when he was in the war. His losing a limb than having to get back to the land of the living. When he comes home his girlfriend breaks up with him. He thinks it is due to the loss of the limb. One day he looks out to see two women on his lawn. He goes out to greet them and see what they are doingThat is when he spots Tammyhe only has eyes for her and she for himThere are quite a few bumps [...]

P.J. Fiala has a knack for making her characters come to life & Danny's War is no different. Danny is a disabled vet, who feels less of a man, especially since his ex-girlfriend dumped him. Everything is about to change for him when he, not only is the recipient of a house renovation, thanks to the Rolling Thunder Benefit Ride, but meets Tammy, as well (who has her own issues she is dealing with). Take their rollercoaster ride with them, to see where it leads them. I definitely recommend thi [...]

Danny's War was a great addition to the rolling thunder series! It picks up from the last book where Tammy is taking pictures of Danny's house which is being renovated by the rolling thunder team to help disabled vets. Tammy also works for a home for disabled vets which is being taken over by a big corporation by a guy name Zeke. Danny who suffers from PTSD and being left by his ex just can't wrap his mind around the fact that Tammy might truly like him for HIM and not for some alterior reason. [...]

Thank you for a beautiful love storyThis book was awesome. Danny and Tammy story was beautiful, sweet, sexy, but mostly it felt so real. It was like they both came to life and their happiness, their suffering was mine too. I laughed, cried, and cheered for them and was so happy that they came on top. Wish someone had punched Hamilton tho, lol. Can't wait for JT and Gunner's stories and hopefully Lex too. Thank you for a beautiful story Mrs. Fialia.

This was a really good book about a veteran and what he is going through after coming back from Afghanistan and meeting Tammy, a girl who is helping her friend with his house renovations. Tammy has her own issues and these two get together and help each other with their issues. Danny's friends help them and they in turn end up helping one of Danny's friends.

Good book. Tammy is a girl who is trying to right her world after her ex-boyfriend does the unthinkable. Danny is a wounded warrior just trying to move on with his life. When the two of them meet, sparks fly. This is their story.

    I really enjoyed this book
