Fairly good mystery, hard to connect with the characters.

I enjoyed this book. There was a lot going on and at first I felt lost. There are lot of questions left unresolved and maybe they are for other books to delve into and solve. The characters need more depth- maybe a full novel next time.

Good beginningThis was a pretty good book. A lot of mysteries involved some were not solved maybe in next book? Characters need more depth

The death of her grandmother and all that she associated with her died. Fisherman wharf, shacks, the water to cast ones worries off, the magic died with her. Letting Dad take over, and deciding I would be a lawyer. Finding papers of the lies, led me. Life was simple in Cryptic Cove. Overnight, with a couple missing, it had greatly disrupted the town and people. Murder and long ago secrets, weren't as buried as they thought. Enjoyable quick read, about murder and a little romance.

HolesThe storyline is interesting, but OH, the OMISSIONS! For me instance, in a he first few pages the narrator opens a box to discover her grandmother is alive. How? A recent greeting card or letter? Very much disappointed. Also, the emotional level is quite immature and shallow. I truly believe that a professional writing instructor could help author turn this into a much better written book. Try again, please.

Fun cozy mystery true to the genre, well laid out plot and great characters. My only complaints are that it was a bit too rushed. The relationship builds were rushed, and some of the character development was rushed. Also the final"big reveal" was lackluster. It could have been pizzazzed a bit more, and made seem a bit more real. It was almost not even believable as a plot point.

Cozy story with an independent young woman trying to do her job. What's her job? Well, that would be to run errands for the local Constable. When she runs into trouble asking the questions she was sent to ask, she blunders on. This is a great book for relaxing and just enjoying a good who done it!

Cryptic CoveA fast and interesting cozy mystery. Even a 25 year old missing person mystery is solved by our heroine. Even though it was a short read it did keep my attention and finished in two hours.

.I did not love it, but I did not hate it either.I just wasn't drawn into the story and found many things unbelievable and/or poorly written.Unfortunately, many books offered free on Kindle seem to lack an editor. The grammar and spelling reflect poorly on the author. This is one of those times

Short story, good plot and likable characters.

Money, Murder, and MayhemI was into the story from the start. We know Jake isn't what he seems from the beginning, but we really like him. The ending is really a surprise

A great read. So many zig-zags as to who dunit. The last chapter was awesome. Just when you thought the previous chapter was the end.

Pretty goodHas alot of potential. OK characters. Several typos, choppy and wishy washy areas that didn't flow. Too many chapters for a couple hundred pages. Will try another book by this author to see if its different.

Light readingCute storyline. Little romance, little mystery, and intrigue, great for those times when you really don't want to think too hard about it.

Loved itGreat snowy day readete book not a come on for a series. Loved every minute of it. The inclusion of a non dog or cat friend was great.

    Cindy Smith
Great little readThis was a quick, fast paced mystery that was a little shorter than I would have liked, but definitely a good read. I would most assuredly read another one!

    Lynn Demsky
This was a lovely short complete cozy I read in just a few short hours --- I only rated it as a 4 because she would mention things, people but you didn’t know who or what they were until the next chapter but, on the whole a unique cute story!

Very BadSo bad it's like a 14-year-old wrote it. A dim, sheltered 14-year-old with little imagination. I only made it through the first 10 pages. Waste of time! Thank God it was free.

    Melinda Labuscagne
I liked the book. Lots of mystery

    Janice McDonald
Quite funny.I'll say there aren't a y useless words in this book. Il is short, to the point, and brilliantly concluded.

    Betty Hood
The RavenEnjoyed the characters very much! The surprise ending is just that, a surprise! If you like cozy mysteries you will find this one a good read.

Great storyInteresting short story I enjoyed it. When Lexie finds out her grandmother is alive and in a town she hasn't seen since she was eleven, many mysteries unfold.

    Tammy J Ainsworth
