Original Review HereMy levels of excitement for this book were off the scale It is perhaps the most enthusiastic I ve been about a new book for a long time, although I was concerned about my emotional state after Way Walkers Tangled Paths broke my heart several times Luckily, this one made me laugh just as much but it reduced me to tears only the once I can recommend it with a clear conscience that you won t be an emotional mess afterwards. The tension and pacing in this book was as strong as the [...]

Pretty solid update, the highlight being the sky city Sadly it was a little abrubt when the mc was separated from his friends Overall still very cool and will be looking forward to .

Loved this book This is a continuation of Jathen s coming of age, and we get some real development in his character He, and we, discover about him Whereas the first book gave him, and us, some pretty serious losses, this book offers hope, and less loss I admit to a bit of trepidation to reading Book 3 when it becomes available I don t want loss like we had in Book 1, and managed to skip in Book 2.The author has developed a marvelous universe It has the same depth and diversity found in Tolkie [...]

I don t give out many 5 stars Five is reserved for the ones that will change me in some way, or make what is sure to be a lasting impression But this book just grabbed me, and compelled me to come along for the ride as Jathen takes some control of his life and handle the circumstances he s literally thrown into And isn t that what a book is supposed to do Turns out I won t be the one to spoil the 5 star rating of this book after all.

I want I want The author better hurry up and finish this baby I was captivated by the main character Stupid, but not too stupid Caring but not too caring Powerful but not too powerful Some nice twists in the story.

Excellent sequel We learn about some of the mysterious characters, and Jathen the narrator becomes steadily capable even as he realizes just how little he knows about the world and about his own family Fast paced and exciting.

Good series leaves me wanting The second book in this series once again keeps the reader involved in the story Lots of action and plot twists Can t wait until the next one.
