    This book wasn t as smooth for me and it was the surprise military action that was the bumpy part.I enjoyed our couple as they got to know one another I enjoyed the time spent in the Firehawk how much has MLB researched that But the action part seemed out of sync with the rest This was especially surprising given how well MLB writes these scenes.I will likely read the next in the series and am interested in the new series by this author.

    2.5 stars I put this down once I got halfway through for a while because frankly I was overwhelmed by technical firefighting and helicopter mechanical stuff I got how some of it was necessary for the character building, but this went over the top I felt I could used o bit Vern and Denise,which we did get of in last half I like this author, and enjoyed his Night Stalker series quite a bit This was not a fave for me

    This was a wonderful book We sometimes forget that there are people who are fighting forest fires and they have lives that are so intertwined with each other and they fall in love and fight the good fight and sometimes we don t understand the ways of our government and doing things that can t be traced This was a wonderful love story and a very interesting ending I love the interactions of the characters.
