Contact druwellington page_id 47.I love fairy tales, both original and retellings, and that is where my idea for The Compass stemmed A world where all these amazing fairy tales could live and breathe with some of my own little twists .I m really enjoying writing these novellas and discovering of The Compass as I go Perhaps someday a bigger novel will come out of this setting, and I hope these stories help to cultivate the world building Of course, these novellas can be read as standalones, too Each one features new heroes and the journey they go on to reach their happy ending. The first volume in the world of The Compass will involve four Knight stories, but others are planned Lords of the Compass, Pirates of the Compass, stay tuned They are in some way interrelated with a couple that aren t with a bigger story conflict.Feel free to contact me at druwellington at gmail or check my website, druwellington.

The fairy tale origins of the story are even clearer here than they were with book 1: this is a proto-sugar-kink gay red riding hood. Woot! Again, there is that lovely repetition in the narrative, as Sir Wolf and Noel match wits. Very sweet, very light, great for relaxing after a hard day. Also a dollar!

Clearly taking inspiration from Red Riding Hood – the follow-up to The Knight and The Prince now telling the story of Rowan Wolf, Knight Axle right hand man (from book 1) and Noel, a healer from West Kingdom.Plot wise, it was less straight forward than the prequel and truthfully I was a bit confused in the beginning with the necessity of Noel killing the King of the West. It had something to do with a myth though, which explained later on, but still a little weird. I also scratched my head reg [...]

** 3.5 Stars **Not as good as the first tale but entertaining nonetheless.

Linda ~ chock full of hoot, just a little bit of nanny ~
1.5 stars. Uninspired riff on Little Red Riding Hood with angry sex and a terrible pun. Skimmed to finish.

“I didn’t mean a little, Sir Rowan Wolf. I meant a lot.”This series is so fun!! So, I still don't know what retelling the first book is (romeo and Juliet?? Idk. LOL!) But this of course is a retelling of Red Riding Hood which I loved. I really enjoyed the love hate tension in this one much more than the first, loved the chase and the catch. It was more fun where the first one felt more hateful and a downer before they finally got to the romance! The trickery in this one is great and adds to [...]

Entertaining even though not my usual type of read. I mean, gay Red Riding Hood retelling? I'm in. Now, if only we had more depth and time to see their feelings develop

Another nice installment to this story. Didn't quite capture my interest as much as the first. Sir Wolf didn't really do it for me, but I liked Noel. Still not sure how the solution to the problem works, but I'm willing to go along with it.

Finally got to reading the second story of the "Knights of the Compass".I admit, I have a soft spot for these stories (I've finished all four of them now and can't wait for the next story). The idea of taking fairy tales, giving them a new twist but keeping some of their distinguishing attributes, is intriguing. And I loved the result.Sir Wolfe meets red-hooded Noel. Ohw we have a growly guy and a sassy counterpart. I loved their chemistry. If I have to complain about one thing, it would be that [...]

Another fun, sexy story in the Compass universe. This one is about two different characters (one of whom has a supporting role in The Knight and The Prince) and the MCs from the first book are only referenced. But the overarching storyline about the North empire is moved forward. I really liked Noel and the fact that he was a healer rather than a fighter. Off to read book #3 now.

I liked this more than The Knight and The Prince since the plot wasn't too straightforward. A couple of pleasant twists, more backstory of the kingdom and more fantasy. This series is such a guilty pleasure and I'm enjoying it thoroughly.

How awesome was this? ♥♥♥ I was blown away with the way the author incorporated the Little Red Riding Hood bits in this story. From the wolf to the cloak, from grandmother's bonnet to the switching in the bed pretending, from the voice pretending to the freaking CLASSIC LINE. That was so freaking awesome! I totally read through this whole book in one sitting. Such a great job! Will be rereading! And saw a glimpse of Rumple! Can't wait for his story! :)

In a sense, I liked this more than the previous book - it had more plot and twists, even though the characters annoyed me sometimes, and certain things became repetitive. Also, I know this is a m/m series, but why is everyone gay? xD Putting this series on hold for a while, as I'm not in the mood for it.

Mildly entertaining continuation of the story. Lots of sex scenes. To me they are a waste of space as there are only so many ways to have sex. A knight meets a clever healer, instant love. Everyone in this world is gay.

I didn't really enjoy this one.

Sir Wolf, more like Knight in shining armor!I loved Rowan, oh what a hero he is. He fell in love so quickly, he never stood a chance against Noel's charms

Keeps getting betterThis one has well rounded characters. The background story is becoming clearer and the filling of it more intriguing. On to the next! Thanks!
