I'll have the privilege of interviewing the author on my blog later this week. I will say that I was drawn in to Patty Gayle's story. . d that my 8-year-old daughter has been reading it and can't put it down! And now I have a review by my daughter to share: Cynthia Willow, first of all I would like to say how I love how you put a bunch of magical things into one book. Unicorns, talking animals, underwater breathing and stuff like that.I think that the characters are great. I also love how you put [...]

I liked this story. It has an old-fashioned flavor which worked surprisingly well with the magical modern-fairytale theme. When I first started reading, I confess that I hadn't read the product description and so I didn't know what kind of story I'd be reading. For several chapters nothing magical happens, and it reminded me more of a memoir or someone's life story from the early 1960's in northern Florida. But then magic appears suddenly, in the form of a bracelet which allows Patty to speak to [...]

In his book The Magician's Nephew, CS Lewis describes a sort of world between worlds where someone might travel from our world to Narnia or to any of a great number of alternate worlds. In Patty Gayle and the Legend of Kingsley I felt very much as though I was being transported to one of those places - one of those many worlds about which CS Lewis left us to wonder in vain.In Patty Gayle and the Legend of Kingsley Cynthia P. Willow somehow manages to capture all the charm and all the heart of th [...]

What a wonderful story for the young reader who enjoys a good mystery! For that matter, great for all ages! Reminiscent of my own childhood reading, though I can’t recall ever running across a story quite like Patty Gayle. It has everything to spark a youngster’s imagination - magical bracelets and crowns, dragons, fairies, talking animals, a villain. What an adventure!Through a deathbed gift from her grandmother, Patty is transported to a parallel world, where she learns that she is the one [...]

First off, I'll admit that I was surprised at how into this book I got. Patty Gayle and the Legend of Kingsley is a light fantasy novel that's targeted for kids, and yet here I am in my 20's getting absorbed by it lol! If you're looking for a book that's suitable for a kid this is a great book to pick. I found it very easy to read and understand. Kingsley was a fun place to visit and I look forward to reading the second book. The reason this is four stars instead of five is that I felt it took a [...]

What a fun book was this to read! Each chapter leads you through another part of the adventure and what an adventure it is! This is the story of an ordinary girl doing extraordinary things. Fairy queens and talking animals bring fun to this book. This book weaves through a fun multi-step adventure without being complicated. Although it would be great for preteens and young teens, it's a fun adventure for anyone! The chapters are short, so it might be good for a bedtime story lasting over several [...]

This is a really good book, because I grew up going to Kingsley lake. My favorite part was when patty woke up to dolphins playing poker. I recomend this book to people who like magic, fairies, and talking dolphins.

This book is for middle school age children, but is an excellent read for those adults who like fantasy. Patty Gayle is given an old key and must figure out what it goes to. When she does, she begins the adventure of a lifetime. Throughout the book, emphasis is placed on Patty Gayle's faith in her heavenly father. She succeeds in her quest through her abiding faith.

"Just finished reading and it was incredible!! I am NOT a reader (only of the newspaper or a magazine), but this book really kept me wanting more and more of it. I could hardly put it down! If you are looking for a good, clean Christmas gift, this is something suitable for all ages!" ~ Melinda Davis Please visit my page for more reviews: amazon/Patty-Legend-Ki
